Employee Spotlight: Mingming

Today, we would like to highlight Mingming, our Director of Imagine Technology. With over a decade of experience in the printing industry, Mingming has brought her expertise in ink formulation, ink delivery systems, and drive waveform generation to our team, significantly contributing to our technical advancements. Let’s hear what Mingming has to say about her career and Inkcups!

Q. What is your role at Inkcups and how long have you been with the company? 

It will be my two year anniversary in September serving as the Director of Imaging Technology!

• I oversee all new ink development and testing to meet the ever-growing market needs, keep track of constantly changing regulations to ensure our inks are compliant while maintaining performance, and work with our cross-functional teams to launch new ink products and ensure the quality of ongoing ink products.
• I also act as a Program Manager for our new direct-to-bag printer, the XJET Switch. After two years of continuous improvement, XJET Switch is able to print 300+ bags per hour with stellar image quality and color brightness, running mass production for over a dozen customers out there.
• Lastly, I’m actively involved in the advance development of our flagship product – the Helix® cylindrical inkjet printer. We are constantly looking at new technologies to improve our products to further differentiate them, including using robotics, smart pumps, vision systems, sectional lamps, and AI-enhanced control software.

Q. What is your favorite part about your job at Inkcups?

My favorite part is driving innovations and transforming technologies into customer revenue.

Q. How do you like to spend your free time?

I have two young boys and they keep me busy.

Q. What motivates you?

The excitement our customers feel about the products we develop is a major motivator for me, along with the satisfaction of seeing the successful outcomes of our efforts.
