Next up in the pad printing ink blog series we have BT series inks. Did you enjoy the previous posts highlighting MB Series, BA, and CG? Every ink line Inkcups carries brings different attributes to the table, increasing the likelihood we have an ink that will fit your exact needs. As a reminder, there is no universal ink. That is why there is a need to have ten different pad printing inks available. This article will be a complete BT series spotlight.
Quick highlights of the BT Series pad printing ink line include:
The BT series pad printing ink is perfect for printing on the following substrates: ABS, SAN, acrylic, cellulose acetate butyrate, paper, corrugated board, polystyrene, polycarbonate, polyester foil, polyethylene, polypropylene (pre-treated), soft & hard PVC, wood, and polyurethane. That’s impressive! For those of you familiar with some of those substrates, you’re aware of how tricky they can be to get ink to stick, but that doesn’t stop the BT series ink line.
If you’re looking to print on items such as translucent plastics, injection molded products, ice packs, medical devices, vinyl balls, cosmetic containers, and more, contact a ink technician to send in your product for proper adhesion testing. They will ensure long lasting adhesion and abrasion resistance to match your requirements.
BT series pad printing ink is an all-purpose 1- or 2- component pad printing ink. As a reminder, the difference between 1- and 2- component inks is the additional supplies needed for a 2-component ink. For instance, a 2-component ink requires a solvent and hardener to print, whereas a 1-component ink only needs solvent to print. The BT series ink as a 2-component ink has an extended pot life of 8-9 hours and offers exceptional abrasion resistance.
The BT series ink line comes in 23 standard ink colors, 5 metallic shades, and CMYK 4-color process shades as well. Inkcups offers custom color matching and Harmony Color Matching System is available as well. To peruse the color selection, view our BT Series Color Chart.
Classified as non-toxic and formulated without heavy metals the BT Series ink line is the perfect solution for numerous applications and we’d be happy to get you started on your pad printing journey. Request additional information about the BT Series ink line today.
