Inkcups is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team. This person should be a driven, dedicated, and enthusiastic professional. Responsible for matters relating to financial accounting, financial reporting, state sales tax compliance, international VAT tax, and daily cash management.
This position is also responsible for completing special tasks and/or projects as assigned by upper Management and/or the other members of the executive team and collaborating with said executives to determine and set in motion the best business decisions for the department and the company.
Job Duties
- Support all accounting operational functions
- Work with others in the accounting department on day-to-day accounting operations
- Improve systems and procedures
- Cross train to provide back up for AP Specialist and Payroll Processing
- Participation in global AR processing, including payment applications
- Collections activities and regular review of AR aging reports
- Development and management of SOPs surrounding departmental functions and initiate corrective actions
- Sales Tax reporting
- Assist in commission calculations and reporting
- Bank reconciliations
- Intercompany eliminations
- Deferred Revenue
- Prepare journal entries, reconcile, and analyze general ledger accounts to ensure transactions are processed and reported in the company’s financial system in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Support of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial close and audit activities
- Assists in preparing financial closing reports in a timely fashion
- Analyze and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation and analysis
- Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
- Monitoring business performance metrics- KPIs
- Supporting regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance
- Perform other ad-hoc accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as needed by the request of the Controller and CFO
- Provide backup support to payroll processing
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in accounting/finance
- Working knowledge of all accounting functions and extensive experience with accounting software.
- Experience with financial reporting requirements, general ledger management, corporate finance, treasury management.
